Jeffery Beckerleg entered the art world in 1980 when he took a stained glass class in Castro Vallery, California After that he taught stained glass in his private studio; he moved on to teach at the Adobe Art Center in Castro Valley, CA for 12 years. In 1984 he was commissioned to design and construct the beautiful stained glass windows that can be seen and enjoyed in the entry way at the Hayward, California Recreation Department. He has done over 300 windows for homes in the Bay Area. Not only does Jeffery work in stained glass, but also painting and metal sculpture and was commissioned by the Vista Medical Center in Auburn, California to create a metal wall sculpture for the facility. His current interest is in ceramic sculpture concentrating on cars, trucks, and masks, often with a humorous twist. Jeffery has shown his work at various art galleries in the area including Art on the Divide in Georgetown, El Dorado Arts Council in Placerville, Blue Line Arts in Roseville, Shimo Center for the Arts in Sacramento, Art of Toys in Sacramento, 621 Gallery in Benicia, and the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento.
